Quietly tucked away, right in the centre of the city, shielded from a busy road by a lovely patch of green, is the YHA Liverpool Albert Dock – a backpackers hostel that offers comfortable accommodation in a central location, all at a pleasingly low cost.

The YHA is across the road from the main events venues like the ACC (Arena and Convention Centre) and the M&S Bank Arena, both of which are next door to the Royal Albert Dock. Stroll down The Strand and you’ll find yourself in Liverpool one – from there you’ll be close to all that the city has to offer as well as bus and train stations if you’re travelling further afield.

Go in the other direction and in a few minutes you’ll be in the Baltic Triangle, with some of the city’s most laid back food, drink and music venues.

You can book a bed in a shared room for the most cost-effective option, or a private or en-suite room all to yourself. Shared facilities include a self-catering kitchen, a TV lounge and laundry room. The dining area Beatles wallpaper is the little touch that no local establishment could be without.

There is a 24h reception, a car park, cycle storage and a friendly café and bar too, for all your drink and snack needs.
