Utility Gift Shop
Utility Retail Ltd

When it comes to buying gifts, nothing beats supporting your local high street shops and the Utility Gift Store on Oxford Road is geared up to be the very best in Manchester. If you need to find something original, unusual or unique for that special friend, family member or workmate in your life – the kind of gift that nobody else will have thought of – that’s precisely what Utility offer.

After making a name for itself in Liverpool, Utility has finally made the move to Manchester, opening a huge 1200 square feet store on Oxford Road, at the heart of Manchester’s bustling university district. It’s very different from the standard chain stores – you can expect an original type of shopping experience, all set to become the go-to place for forward-thinking and memorable designs and products.

Ideal for gifts for everyone – including yourself. Go on, you deserve it

Even better, it’s completely independent. There are no big shareholders to answer to, no fat cats who only care about the bottom line – the staff are all part of the Utility family, happy to help everyone find their ideal gift. It’s this kind of personal touch that you simply can’t find at corporate retailers. With this in mind, it’s worth stressing the importance of supporting high-street businesses – keep your shopping local!

The interior store design itself shows off a fresh new aesthetic, courtesy of Manchester design company WDC Creative. Here you’ll find bespoke plywood fittings, with a pared down urban palette doing a great job of showing each product off at its very best. This design will also serve as a blueprint for the refit of Utility’s Liverpool One store, along with new openings currently being planned.

A superb range of the very best in contemporary products

Utility is all about unique, quirky and cool products, all created and selected for their design aesthetic and practical appeal. You’ll find a superb range of the very best in contemporary products, including cards, jewellery, gifts, home accessories and much more. This makes it ideal for gifts for everyone – including yourself. Go on, you deserve it.
