A game lovers haven, if you like your comic books with a bit of roleplaying on the side then look no further than Travelling Man Leeds. Perfect for gifts, idle browsing, and fans of manga, graphic novels and comics, Travelling Man is a quirky shop with a little something for everyone.

Selling comics, graphic novels, manga, role playing games, board games, collectible card games, merchandise, apparel and much more besides, Travelling Man was first established in Leeds back in in 1991. Over the years, it has grown into something of a northern phenomenon and today the gaming and comic book shop has expanded across the North – boating further popular sites in Manchester, York and Newcastle.

Starting from humble beginnings in the late 1980s, the now-famous chain of independent shops was first born out of a beautiful friendship between founders Nabil and Simon. At the time, the pair were looking to turn their passion for role-playing games into a way to escape their jobs, and soon enough they found it: going on to open one of the North’s most notorious gaming, comic and collectibles shops. Nabil also went on, much later, to found the Yorkshire Thought Bubble Festival – an annual comic convention that welcomes over 500 exhibitors as well as special guests from across the world.

From much loved globe-trotting board games like Wingspan, Carcassonne and Azul, to card games, role-playing games, and a huge games workshop with innumerable paints and models, games fans will find plenty to entertain them at Travelling Man Leeds. The shop is also chock-full of mint-condition figurines and cult favourite graphic novels, perfect for the avid reader or collector in your life.

It’s not just a great place to shop, either. Travelling Man Leeds also acts as a hub for like-minded communities of gamers hosting regular meet-ups and gaming sessions every week. These include board game nights every Wednesday between 6.30pm and 10pm, Tuesday night Magic Commander events and Friday Night Magic The Gatherer events, as well as other large scale ad hoc events that can see the entire shop taken over for a day to welcome something special.

A quirky little shop for comics, graphic novels, role-playing and board games, with frequent in-store events, any self respecting gamers should make a point of visiting Travelling Man when  in Leeds.
