The Talleyrand, Levenshulme

Tom Grieve, Cinema Editor

Named for Charles Maurice de Talleyrand-Périgord, the French diplomat and theologian who spent a period of exile in the area between 1792-1794, The Talleyrand is one of several establishments helping to make Levenshulme a destination in its own right.

Situated near Nordie and Isca, this warm and welcoming bar mixes the traditional boozer with a European-style beer-café. The venue hosts artist-ran STOCK Gallery in the back room but a dynamic, accessible arts programme spans the whole place – check the listings for gigs, theatre, film screenings, DJ sets, visual art and everything in between.
