The National Science and Media Museum
Creative TouristLocated in Bradford, the first UNESCO City of Film, The National Science and Media Museum is dedicated to uncovering the science and culture of image and sound technologies and their impact on our lives.
The centre is home to several world-famous collections of photography, film and television, and three cinema screens – including Britain’s first IMAX theatre, which was the largest cinema screen in the country when it opened to the public in 1983, and the beautiful Pictureville Cinema, described by Lord Puttnam as ‘the best cinema in the world’.
It also features two TV-themed galleries including an interactive studio set, and the Kodak Gallery, which tells the story of popular photography from its earliest development to the present day.
