When you think about Liverpool, you probably think the Beatles and… water, right? Rivers, ships and docks are part of the city’s mythos and the local hotels lean into it too. The Liner Hotel offers accommodation in style, specifically in the style of a luxury cruise liner. You can lounge in a white robe in your Executive Cabin, before coming down for a bit to eat in the Seven Seas Brasserie, or grabbing a drink in the Castaway Bar or the Pacific Lounge & Cocktail Bar.

The Liner Hotel is in a fantastically central location, particularly if you’re travelling by train – it’s two minutes away from Liverpool Lime Street station. If you’re visiting for academic reasons, hotel is close to the Knowledge Quarter: Liverpool University, Liverpool John Moores University and the School of Tropical Medicine are all located just up the road.

The nautical room décor remains tasteful throughout (you won’t find seashell mirror frames here), with timeless furniture and classic colours. Tea and coffee are provided as standard. while the marble bathrooms are stocked with toiletries.

Close to many of the city’s theatres, The Liner is both a luxurious and convenient option if you’re coming to see a play. The restaurant even offers pre-theatre dining with a regularly changing, seasonal menu.
