The Botanical Gin Garden

The Botanical Gin Garden is yet another one of Liverpool‘s hidden venues – although this time it’s mostly because it’s fairly difficult to find in the maze on the Baltic Triangle‘s tiny streets. The tagline of ‘Gin, pizza and sunshine’ is very literally true, as The Botanical Gin Garden is an outdoor bar open for six months of the year. If you’re reading this during a colder time of the year, it will likely be reopening in the coming March.

Unsurprisingly, The Gin Garden specialises in gins. They do serve other drinks too but if you’re not a fan of juniper-flavoured beverages, you may be a tad disappointed but for all you gin lovers out there though, this is the place! Served in enormous glasses with all of the garnish you can imagine and a selection of gins to choose from, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a serious G&T in the sun. Every year, there is a small food vendor providing hot snacks too, in case you get peckish after your fourth glass.

The Garden’s setting is industrial but somehow cosy – perhaps it’s the friendly staff, the fairy lights or the plants dotted around the place. Either way, it’s a great little spot for a sunny drink.
