Tapestry Arts

One of South Bradford’s hottest spots, near Dudley Hill. Tapestry Arts is somewhat of an over-achiever. Described as a music venue, an arts complex, a bar, a restaurant and even a little theatre. You can see pretty much anything here.

Tapestry Arts does not hold itself to one theme, one lane, one type of music.

‘A hub for the artistic community of Bradford,’ as they so accurately put it on their website. Tapestry arts host regular live music events, art performances, comedy nights, cinema nights, nostalgic themed music nights and shows. The nostalgia nights would pull me in, featuring the biggest hits of the 1970s, 80s and 90s. Yes please.

For all you live music lovers, are you an avid soul & motown fan, a punk rocker or a country music romantic? If you answered yes to one of those then there will be something here for you. Tapestry Arts does not hold itself to one theme, one lane, one type of music. No, instead it prides itself on diversity and range, with a Black Sabbath tribute one night to Spandau ballet the next.

Speaking of range, the venue actually has three different rooms/ spaces, and that’s not even including the studio spaces. The Tapestry main room is able to host all kinds of events. It was acoustically designed to not only contain rock and roll sound waves for those punk rockers, but also to capture the peaceful string picking of a country love song. This space is also available for private hire with a seating capacity of 100 and a standing capacity of 300.

The Neighbourhood hosts their famous pub quiz.

Another section of the venue is used for The Neighbourhood Craft Ale Bar and Kitchen. You can pretty much guess from the name what this room is. But if you can’t, it’s the venue’s attached bar and kitchen. Open Wednesday through to Sunday, you can stop by for a quick pint or stay for dinner. All food served here is homemade! Serving breakfast, brunch and burgers and brownies for dessert.

Also, a little side note for all you quiz heads out there. Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, The Neighbourhood hosts their famous pub quiz, offering their delicious homemade food all evening, so head along to eat, drink and win! Maybe.
