South

Bite-size basement dive South alternates techno-house and indie nights. This stalwart of the Manchester music scene that can be found just off Deansgate next door to St Ann’s Square.

Basement rave in an underground dive club. Sound good? Head down to South, a tiny underground club hosting techno and indie nights every weekend. They’ll even let you keep dancing til 5am, if you ask them nicely.

South very kindly cater to both musical hemispheres. On the indie side they’re blasting anthems from DJ Clint Boon of Inspiral Carpets fame and throwing Charlatans and the Arctic Monkeys after-parties. On the flipside, Pineal Groove dial up the good times with acid house, techno, minimal techno and tech-house. Let them cover all your house, techno and general bass-based needs.

All for under a fiver. Boom. Prayers answered.
