Saltaire Brewery
Carmel Smickersgill, Tours & Activities EditorWhether you’ve heard of Saltaire or not, if you walk into any well stocked pub in the North of England you’ll be sure to find Saltaire Brewery’s beer. Saltaire Blonde, Cascade Pale and the decadent Triple Choc Stout have become firm favourites of beer drinkers and sellers alike, putting Saltaire Brewery firmly on the map of must-visit tap houses in the North.
They now produce five million pints of beer a year
Having started in 2003, the brewery was originally turning out as many as three beers a week, refining and honing the recipes with each attempt. This obsessional pursuit of quality and flavour has led them to become one of the largest success stories of the microbrewery revolution. As the pioneers who paved the way for others to follow, they now produce five million pints of beer a year for drinkers all over the world.
You can see Saltaire brewery for yourself with a virtual beer tasting and brewery tour. In this, you’ll get to sample some of Saltaire’s well known classics and newer batches, while learning about the process and how each beer develops a signature flavour. The brewery has also teamed up with Ramsbury Single Estate Spirits to create a hybrid event combining beer tasting and cocktail making. It’s a two hour boozy voyage through the production processes and flavours involved.
