Round the Corner

Live music AND a rooftop bar? You’ve got it – Round the Corner in Liverpool‘s quickly developing Fabric District, showcases live acts almost every night of the week.

Part venue and part friendly rooftop bar and terrace, Round the Corner focuses on supporting grassroots music and offering craft ales. The walls are clad in wood with plenty of seating everywhere, creating a pleasant, laid-back atmosphere. This is not a formal venue – it’s relaxed and inviting, especially when the sun is shining. Liverpool could do with more rooftop bars so don’t forget about this one! Unassuming on the outside and spacious on the inside, Round the Corner hosts various events, with music performances making up the bulk of the event listings. There are also regular poetry events, parties and other gatherings, and as always, the venue is available for hire.

A few years ago the Fabric District was stuck with a pretty sad reputation having remained unchanged for quite a while. Always temporarily occupied by students, with a smattering of takeaway places and, admittedly, very good haberdasheries, it wasn’t the most exciting area the city had to offer (unless you’re a knitter or fashion designer, then this was always the place to be). Recently though, it’s been springing to life with brand new independent businesses making new homes in the area’s industrial backstreets, from photography studios to a radio station. Round the Corner slots perfectly into this mix, contributing good vibes and local sounds.
