Mayfield

GRUB

Mayfield is about to be reborn. Innovation, audacity and imagination are in the air, as energy, ideas and life return to this neglected part of Manchester city centre. From June 2017, new food and drink event spaces brought new tastes, smells and voices to the banks of the River Medlock, as we took our first few steps in opening up this forgotten 24-acre site to a new generation of Mancunians.

A decade of extraordinary change started in the summer of 2017, when award-winning architects transformed part of the Mayfield site into the temporary home of GRUB – the city’s best independent street food event. Adventurous flavours, craft ale and music. You’ll now find them in one of our railway arches, at Fairfield Social Club, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, along with hundreds of hungry visitors.

You’ll also find a tranquil garden and a flexible community spaces. So whether you want to grab a beer, have food with friends, get a community group together or find a moment’s peace and quiet, Mayfield is here for you.
