The Light Cinema Sheffield

The Light Cinema - Sheffield.

The Light Cinema in Sheffield is a nine-screen all-digital venue showing the latest mainstream blockbusters and independent films.

With plush reclining seating, plenty of legroom and nine state-of-the-art screens, The Light Sheffield opened its doors in 2017. Alongside the latest releases, the cinema shows everything from live theatre broadcasts to rock concerts and hosts special screenings with Q&A sessions.

Offering a complete night out, The Light Cinema is located on The Moor, a relatively newly developed quarter of Sheffield city centre noted for its retail and leisure experiences, and emerging night-time economy. Visitors to this area of the city can enjoy the convenience of all of the usual chain shopping, eating and drinking.

The Light’s café bar is stocked daily with a delicious range of wines, Sheffield craft ales, cocktails and soft drinks – all beverages can be taken into the screen with you (every reclining seat has its own little table attached). There’s all of the usual cinema fare on offer too – popcorn and hotdogs, as well as an assortment of cakes and goodies from local businesses.

Whether you’re looking for a classic flick, the latest blockbuster or the newest arthouse release, Sheffield has a cinema screen for you. Be sure to take a look at our guide to cinemas in Sheffield.
