Left Bank Leeds
Left Bank Leeds by Visit Leeds.

Left Bank Leeds is an arts and events venue based in the breathtaking former St Margaret of Antioch Church on Cardigan Road, sandwiched between Hyde Park and Burley.

The venue is a progressive space for creativity, culture and community, set inside a gorgeously renovated Grade II* listed former church building. After St Margaret’s Church, originally built in 1907 and paid for by people from the local area, had stood closed for close to ten years, Left Bank Charitable Trust was formed to reinvent the building as a welcoming and innovative space for everyone from the local community to enjoy.

Left Bank Leeds is now the home of an evolving programme of music, arts and community events, including festivals, dances, circus skills training, open mic nights, film screenings, printmaking workshops, yoga classes, comedy gigs, Christmas markets, vintage fairs and children’s clubs. With its airy vaulted ceilings and impressive Gothic-inspired windows, this versatile venue makes a stunning space for hire for both public and private events; you can even get married at Left Bank, with room for up to 300 guests and the chance to spread your celebration out into the garden.

With so much going on, Left Bank is the epicentre of creativity in North Leeds, and has become a popular spot for an expanding network of artists, innovators and makers to congregate.

There’s a café inside serving coffees, cakes, light snacks and other treats, with picnic benches in the outdoor courtyard making this a fantastic place for local families, friends and freelancers. Whether you want to meet up and socialise, learn new skills, work remotely in an inspiring environment or just grab a coffee on the way to work, Left Bank Leeds is the place to be.

Standing in the heart of LS6, Left Bank Leeds is a hub for creativity, contemplation and celebration.
