Joshua Brooks

Sarah Lane

Long-established Manchester bar and nightclub, Joshua Brooks is just off student hotspot Oxford Road. Open until 4am on the weekends with regular DJ-led club nights.

Ales and pies by day, basement club by night. This Manchester nightclub has twice won the title of the M.E.N. Best Venue award. It opens up the cosy confines of its bare brick basement over the weekend, inviting DJs from across the musical landscape to play you the finest house, acid techno and even the ‘Silent Mosh Disco’ which does what it says on the tin.

A nice little feature is the dinky smoking balcony above the canal facing the lovely Lass O’Gowrie. Whereas the lovely lass is great for an ale or two, good ol’ Josh can keep the party rocking til four in the morning with music spanning all varieties of electronica.

Check out their event listings up to three months in advance, you’ll be sure to find something to whet your aural appetite.
