Need some ideas for how to entertain your little ones for a few hours? Imagine That is the answer! The children’s play centre is the perfect day out, brimming with activities, play zones and new experiences for young minds. Conveniently located with easy access from the M62 and free parking, Imagine That promises to be a special day out for the whole family.

Designed for children between the ages of 1 and 10, Imagine That is a unique blend of a traditional play centre, child-friendly museum, science activities and creative fun. A visit takes three hours split into 45 minute sessions ensuring young visitors experience each of the four zones: Imagination Village, Artbeatz art area with access to our outdoor area (weather permitting), Science Zone and Slime Factory. The timed slots ensure everyone has a go at all of the activities available – with so much to choose from, actually choosing could become a difficult task!

Children can take part in staff-led workshops and shows, as well as explore and play freely. For a little while, you can become a shopkeeper, a a hairdresser at a professional salon, watch a theatre performance and visit a news studio, all in the Imagination Zone. Put on a hard hat and hi-vis jacket and dive into the Construction Zone where you’ll find cranes, wheelbarrows and giant conveyor belt to move bricks across the construction site.

Afterwards, you will move into the Art Beatz Zone where creativity is key – you’ll get to paint a real life car! In sunny weather, you can venture outside to the Outdoor Fun area too (open May-Sept) where you’ll discover fossils.

Next up is the Science Zone where you can splash around in the water area and find a bubble so big you can actually stand in it! There are lots of informative exhibits too and demos introducing the concepts of forces, pressure, electricity and heat.

Imagine That have left the best til last – the final zone of the tour is the Slime Factory, home to the slime workshops and science shows! Learn how to make the gooiest slime and enjoy the science experiments. The admission price also includes any of the creations made on site (even the slime!).
