As suggested by the name, the Riverside Hotel is a rural gem of a pub and guesthouse situated on the banks of the River Wharfe. To get to the hotel from the town centre and train station, you can take a scenic stroll through the Riverside Gardens (it is also reachable by car). The pub and hotel have been run by the Dobson family for over 44 years and epitomise what a warm Yorkshire welcome should be. The Riverside is also known as one of the most highly decorated hotels in the area, having won the Tourism Flower award multiple times.

Hearty pub grub that will set you up for a walk on the moor, washed down with award winning CAMRA real ales

All the rooms are en-suite and no matter what direction you’re facing, you can be guaranteed a view straight out onto the river or the infamously scenic Ilkley Moor. You will also have access to Wifi throughout the building and each room has complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.

The hotel kitchens serve home cooked hearty food all day long. A full English or Continental buffet breakfast is included with the room fee, but the menus cater for hungry bellies throughout the day. Expect hearty pub grub that will set you up for a walk on the moor or satisfy those post walk pangs. All of their delicious food can be washed down with award winning CAMRA real ales.

Keen walkers will be well aware that Ilkley is the starting point for the Dalesway Walk. This 80 mile stretch of public footpath takes you from the Yorkshire Dales up to Windermere in the Lake District. For those embarking on this epic trek, the Riverside has strong relationships with multiple luggage transportation services and makes a great place to start.

In prime position to make the most of the area and with a stunning view of the Wharfe, the Riverside Hotel is an ideal place to stay.
