The building is in a grand Tudor Gothic style, with an elaborate hall and staircase that make an immediate impression on guests arriving through its heavy front doors. Built by a Joseph Brooke Jnr using inheritance from his father, Hollin House was purchased by local mill owner Henry Davenport in the late 19th century. It was transformed into its current use in the 1960s following a period as an orphanage under the stewardship of the church.
Given its design and history, Hollin Hall is undoubtedly impressive, but the facilities on offer today are far from historic. Boasting views over the surrounding countryside, the rooms all come equipped with flat screen televisions, unlimited wi-fi and both a shower and a bath. Guests can choose from the selection of 12 superior bedrooms or one of the hotel’s luxurious suites, with the option of a bottle of fizz on arrival.
Hollin Hall prides itself on menus featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients prepared by its dedicated chefs.
The restaurant makes the most of Cheshire’s proud agricultural tradition by taking advantage of local artisan food producers. Whether you are stopping for breakfast on your way out to the Peaks, sitting down for a special occasion or you are just ready for a hearty Sunday roast, Hollin Hall prides itself on menus featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients prepared by its dedicated chefs.
