Hamilton Vault Studios is an art gallery (and filming location) in a disused bank vault in Birkenhead. It’s been open for a few years and this ingenious use of the space has already showcased tens of artists’ work and supported multiple creative projects.

The ethos of Hamilton Vault Studios puts artists first, championing local painters, photographers, craftspeople and other creatives through open calls and other opportunities. There is a small number of permanent studio residents too who work in a range of media.

As the website suggests, the “Vault was designed to protect what people valued most. Now, we’ve reimagined it as a place that showcases what artists value most: their creative vision.” It’s a lovely sentiment, and one that centres the artist whilst acknowledging the unique heritage of the site.

The space is available to book for any of your creative needs, whether it’s a set for filming or a space for experimentation  – enquire through the website the check availability and learn more.
