Green Room Leeds
Ian Jones, Food and Drink EditorIt’s been a long time in the pipeline but the Green Room has finally opened in Leeds city centre. A social space, canteen, bar and roof terrace, this plant-based venue serves as a place to pop in for food and coffee during the day, before transforming into a bar space, complete with dancing patrons and alcoholic drinks, in the evening.
The roof space is one of the main draws, offering a south-facing, sun-soaked terrace ideal for outdoor eating, pop-up parties and summer BBQs. This open-air space to mingle with friends, family and strangers is a great addition to the Leeds hospitality scene.
Co-founders Will Habergham and PJ Gardner are passionate about sustainability and the environment, and have used a wealth of reclaimed or recycled materials throughout the venue.
Will said: “By day the terrace makes the perfect setting for people who need a relaxed environment to work from, brunches, lunches, and by night it’s the perfect setting for after-work cocktails and sunset music-led events. In the winter months, we utilise the space for pop-up markets or similar outdoor events. We are so excited to bring our vision to life and create a unique and creative space where customers can enjoy the bar and restaurant.”
