Form Shop & Studio

FORM SHOP AND STUDIO

Part of Hull’s vibrant Fruit Market cultural quarter, Form Shop & Studio is an independent shop selling affordable art prints, cards and stationery.

It was created in 2016 by self-proclaimed fan of ‘good museum gift shops’ Alice Thompson and her partner Joseph, a graphic designer and illustrator, whose studio helped to create the illustrations for Hull’s successful City of Culture bid. Online and in the bricks and mortar store, Form Shop & Studio sells work made in Hull and further afield, including contemporary prints for curious people, as well as cards, stationery, books, magazines and homeware including candles, tea towels, folding crates, mugs, placemats and more. This is a business that loves to share work made in Hull, hoping to put any success the company achieves back into the local creative community, as well as discovering designers, illustrators and artists from further afield.

What makes Form Shop & Studio even more appealing is its location – drop into Form for a greeting card, unusual gift or specialist magazine and treat yourself at one of the other independent shops nearby or the range of excellent cafés and restaurants, including casual bistro Butler Whites, community café Thieving Harry’s and cocktail bar Humber Street Distillery CoA one-stop shop indeed.
