Forge Bakehouse is a bright and airy ground floor bakery offering homemade breads, pastries and baked goods, as well as a cosy licensed cafe and terrace upstairs, offering all-day brunch, coffee and cocktails.

The bakers, chefs and baristas make everything from scratch – meaning they know exactly what’s in it. No improvers, no additives.

They also do their best to minimise waste. Yesterday’s bread is perfect for toasting and is half-price, and anything they can’t sell goes to some very happy pigs across the city, including at both Heeley City Farm and Whirlowhall – they never throw any of it away.
