Dovedale Towers, or ‘The Dovey’ as it is locally known (you’ll never actually hear it referred to by its formal name, that’s for sure) is located on the iconic Penny Lane of Beatles fame. It’s a well kept pub with a large outdoor area, perfect for a pint in the sun. You won’t miss the massive white and green building so you might as well pop in for a drink.

As a gastro pub, there is a classic food menu with anything from steak and burgers to sandwiches, fish and chips and an array of sides and desserts. The real attraction though, is the atmosphere – it’s a pub with a spruced up interior but an old soul. There are multiple rooms and a mezzanine level, smaller tables for a cosier evening as well as lots of space for larger groups. There is dark wood, columns and big chandeliers white metro tiles around it all, and a large bar in the middle.  TVs dotted around for sports fans are, of course, are mostly showing football matches.

There are pub quizzes and regular open mic nights along with other live music events, occasional series of classes like life drawing and other events that you will find on their social media. The Dovey is a great place to have a quick drink – especially if you’re sightseeing in the area, it’s worth popping in.
