If you’re looking for an opportunity to brush off your Sunday best, look no further than a meal at the Cheshire House Bar and Grill. If it were possible for a restaurant to be dressed in a suit, this listed building’s navy blue decor is the prime example. The only indication of this hidden gem is a sign on a wall outside, after finding the entrance you will be greeted with flower-adorned walls and impeccable service.

Going upstairs will lead you to a photo shoot worthy area for capturing pre-meal memories

Easy both on the eyes and the palate, the restaurant is perfect for pictures. Going upstairs will lead you to a photo shoot worthy area for capturing pre-meal memories. Meanwhile, their bar and dining areas downstairs are suited for all ages. During the day it is a family-friendly spot to catch up with loved ones after so long. As the sun sets, you can expect music and cocktails to flow freely for a good time.

Cheshire House Bar and Grill

The Cheshire House Bar and Grill are currently running a classic menu with crowd-pleasers of steaks and burgers readily available. In addition to this, weekends can be brightened with their Sunday roasts with all the trimmings at £25.95 for three courses. Alternatively, their £25 Bottomless Brunch menu will get you your fill of classic cocktail goodness to go with standard brunch offerings like eggs benedict, avocado on toast and pancakes.

We opted for the Sunday Roast and we were not disappointed. There are three options to choose from for each course and we went with their fig salad to start, followed by a classic roast of sirloin beef and finishing with a bread and butter pudding. Everything is made from scratch in-house here, from the gravy-filled Yorkshire puddings to the nutmeg spiced dessert. Along with their food, the wine list is designed to pair well with any combination you choose. A dry chenin blanc to go with the sharp flavours of the fig salad’s vinaigrette and a fruity glass of Gamay red matches the juicy slab of sirloin you are served.

Head over to Knutsford now to raise the bar for your Sunday lunch and weekend experiences at the Cheshire House Bar and Grill.
