Castle Green Hotel

Castle Green Hotel: on the outside, an enormous, decorous accumulation of charming period buildings overlooking a picturesque green and garden, and on the inside, top of the range room service, health and fitness and food options.

Set in the countryside five minutes outside of Kendal itself, but still within easy reach, the Castle Green promises a relaxing city break. Walk one way and you’re in the town, take one step the other way and you’re out in the majestic Lakeland landscape.

The owners of Castle Green believe in the fine detail of hospitality. A range of different rooms cater to individual requirements, but all come with a large screen television, complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary wi-fi access and extra bedding if you need it. The rooms are sumptuously decorated in contemporary style, with wood panelling and discrete lighting.

The team go the extra mile, and are happy to explain the facilities and attractions of the local area, as you’d expect from an independent hotel. However, Castle Green also has the advantages you’d expect from a large chain. Guests are entitled to complimentary use of the Pulse Health & Fitness gym, and spa treatments can be added as well. The Greenhouse Restaurant offers haute cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere, and Alexander’s Bar will set you up for the evening with sophisticated drinks. You can also wander the extensive grounds that give Castle Green its name.

Castle Green is happy to offer everything you need as a family or couple, but the hotel is also well-regarded as a venue for business meetings and networking events, weddings, receptions, and other functions. You’ll find Killington Lake almost on the doorstep, and heading out west through Kendal will get you to the famous Lake Windermere via the breath-taking Scout Scar. Parking is available on site.
