Bryson’s Of Keswick Craft Bakery & Traditional Tea Rooms
Ian Jones, Food and Drink EditorBryson’s is a charming tearoom in the Lake District stocked with everything you could wish for when it comes to daytime dining. It’s straight out of an Enid Blyton book, with glass cabinets full of colourful freshly baked sweets, hot pastries, delicious sandwiches and a wide range of hot drinks.
It’s based in Bowness, arguably the most appealing area of the Lakes, boasting pubs, wonderful restaurants like Baha, and of course, beautiful scenery as far as the eye can see. The staff here, and the customers are charming, happy to pass the time -it’s a far cry from the hustle and bustle of the nearby big cities.
Bryson’s feels like the kind of place where you could pop in every day, offering up that old-school friendliness and high-quality fare that’s often difficult to find. It’s a shining example of what the Lake District is all about: homely, cheerful and with all your favourite childhood foods.
