Founded in 2000, Blott Studio has established a reputation within Blackpool and the wider region as an artist-led studio and project space. The original intention was to bring challenging and innovative art to the town, as a collective of like minded artists with a particular emphasis on ‘feminist identified’ practicioners who could share studio space and explore issues relating to the representation of women within and beyond the art world.

Following a nomadic period which encompassed several moves, Blott has settled into its current location on King Street, making it an ideal stop for both art lovers and collectors alongside the nearby Grundy Art Gallery and Abingdon Studios. Today, Blott is owned and managed by artist, curator and director Corrine Streetly who continues to champion exciting contemporary work with a regularly changing programme, alongside studio hire and a visitor shop.
