Art Hostel in Leeds

Part of the city’s growing grassroots and DIY scene, Art Hostel in Leeds is a pioneering new project by East Street Arts which offers bespoke, low cost, year-round accommodation in a unique, creative space.

Each bedroom has been designed by a different local or international artist, while the ground floor features an evolving gallery, exhibition and project space and the basement houses a dynamic rolling programme of art installations and events.

The project aims to encourage visitors to contribute to the city of Leeds during their stay, providing a physical infrastructure to make, create, debate, sleep and explore, as well as leave their own ‘creative trace’ on the hostel.

East Street Arts has supported the development of artistic practices in Leeds for over 21 years. Art Hostel is the organisation’s most ambitious undertaking yet.
