Yoga in Manchester

Creative Tourist

From picturesque settings to pay-as-you-pose spaces, here’s our guide to the best yoga studios and classes that Manchester has to offer.

There’s only one problem with yoga: just as there are a hundred reasons for taking it up, so there are a hundred ways to practise it, from inclusive community sessions to outdoor groups, athletic-style classes to slower-paced, mindful ones. Working out which is right for you can be tricky; if you needed to unwind before you started searching, you’ll definitely need to after.

To save you the stress, we’ve been saluting the sun and doing the downward facing dog across Manchester, finding the best places to get you on the path to inner peace.

Each season brings new surprises including wild garlic in the spring, a sea of colourful blooms in summer in the formal gardens and stunning autumnal colours later on in the year. We have two playgrounds which means there's plenty of space for running about and letting off steam, with zip wires for older children to enjoy. Our evolving zoo, Wildlife World, is a real highlight of any visit and we'd highly recommend popping by to see the Humboldt penguins splash and swim in their pool. Other colourful characters include Arthur the tapir, our resident porcupines and a flamboyance of pink flamingos.
