29 August 2020 Tickets from £12 — Book now

Stretch your creative side al fresco at the Whirligig Woods with woodland life drawing. This magical setting provides an inspiring back-drop to sketch a life model. Expect some additional props and interaction with the picturesque surroundings to really turn the creative part of your brain on.

This mainly self-directed drawing session will provide a relaxed and informal opportunity to connect with nature and develop your sketching skills. Aside from the artistic benefits, giving yourself the time to let everything go and just think about drawing is a brilliant way to reconnect with yourself. It is the ultimate mindful activity, asking for concentration and presence without demanding anything from you.

There is no prior experience required, anyone’s welcome to join in. Materials will be provided, but drawers are free to bring any additional tools if they wish to do so. Woodland life drawing is for adults only and it is advised to arrive 15 minutes before it begins. There will a 20-minute break in the middle of this informal drawing session. It’s more of a time to reconnect with nature through drawing rather than a directed class.
