This strikingly original, ground-breaking low budget British film presents a dystopian future where black inhabitants have been forced to live in the drug infested Terrordome, a ghetto where they are continually subjected to the racist actions of the police. With a prologue set at the height of the trans-Atlantic slave trade, Ngozi Onwurah’s film offers a mediation on black experience across history, highlighting connections and making arguments still relevant today.

This screening will be introduced by Dr Amy C. Chambers, Senior Lecturer in Film and Media Studies at Manchester School of Art, Manchester Metropolitan University
