Take your seats in Dunham Massey’s plush Great Gallery for a performance of Wife, a dramatic adaptation of the critically acclaimed series of poems The World’s Wife by Carol Ann Duffy, Poet Laureate and Professor of Contemporary Poetry and Creative Director of the Manchester Writing School. Performed by Ella Duffy, a London-based poet and actor, this extended monologue is an incredible acknowledgement and exploration of the lives of the often ‘behind the scenes’ wives of famous men.

Copies of The World’s Wife will be available for purchase at the event, part of the Women In Words weekend poetry festival. The ticket price includes entry to Dunham’s gardens as well as the house itself.
