Diane, 11:30 a.m., February 24th. Entering the town of Twin Peaks, five miles south of the Canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line. I’ve never seen so many trees in my life. As W.C. Fields would say, I’d rather be here than Philadelphia.”

Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks

Fans of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks tend to be a dedicated bunch. The iconic television show combines procedural mystery with off-beat soap opera, surreal horror and gut-wrenching tragedy. It also features an iconic cast of characters led by Kyle Maclauchlan’s Special Agent Dale Cooper, and plenty of coffee and cherry pie

Each year, ‘Peaks devotees around the world pay homage to Cooper’s arrival in the titular town, and 2021 is no different. This Wednesday 24 February, Manchester street food extraordinaires GRUB and Chapeltown Picture House combine to bring you a Twin Peaks-themed quiz, followed by a watch-a-long of Lynch’s prequel film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, all accompanied by a dedicated food and drink menu for you to enjoy from home.

The menu is available to order from until Tuesday 22 Feb with collection and delivery options for “Damn Fine Cherry Pie” from Idle Hands, fresh doughnuts (“a policeman’s dream”) from Yes! Doughnuts, as well as themed cocktails and, of course, damn good coffee from Ancoat Coffee Co.
