The Power of You is an exciting day-long event facilitated by the University of Salford. This free event aims to explore strategies to empower individuals and teams, in order to build resilience and leadership through sport and wellbeing.

Recommended for sports professionals, health and social care professionals, NHS staff, University staff and human resources professionals, The Power of You will give attendees an insight into the latest research and leading approaches in the field, and how these might be applied practically.

The day will be split into a morning and an afternoon session, and delegates are welcome to attend both sessions or just opt in for the morning or afternoon. The earlier session will focus on the theory surrounding sport for leadership, resilience and performance. Whereas the afternoon will examine personalised care – social prescribing, research & practice.

This event will provide a good opportunity for networking across sectors, and for attendees to develop new collaborations with the University. The event will include speakers from the University of Salford Social Prescribing Hub, Street Support, Occupational Therapy, curriculum development team and colleagues from local neighbourhoods.
