If you’re reading this, then you’re probably already humming some iteration of John Williams’ Star Wars music. The score to George Lucas’ space operas has long permeated the collective cultural consciousness. From the theme that accompanies the opening crawl, to the iconic Imperial March, Williams’ work on the films is as essential to pop culture as Darth Vader’s mask.

It’s this collection of work that the Hallé is bringing to the stage of The Bridgewater Hall, as conductor Stephen Bell, presenter Tom Redmond, the Hallé and the Hallé Choir bring the full thumping force of the Star Wars score to life in Manchester.

Alongside William’s music, the performance will include pieces from Michael Giacchino’s under appreciated score for Rogue One as the Hallé transports the audience to a galaxy far, far away…
