Test Card has been a leading light of Manchester’s audio-visual scene for two years now. Run by Sean Clarke, the community-led organisation nurtures some of the city’s most forward-thinking artists, and provides an inclusive platform for them to showcase their work.

With public events currently off the cards, Test Card is running a series of livestreamed gigs, broadcast via Niamos TV. The next will feature Vicky Clarke, a sound and electronic media artist who works with sound sculpture, DIY electronics and human-machine systems. She’ll be collaborating with multi-disciplinary artist Izzy Bolt, whose live visuals will interact with the music in real-time.

We’ll also hear from Daniel Ruane, an experimental electronica artist from Manchester. For fans of Trentemøller, Headless Horseman and Autechre, his music is heavily informed by sci-fi concepts, video games and Pitch Black soundtracks, with enigmatic narratives that tend to evade ideas of club-friendliness and the dancefloor as terminus.

You can tune into the livestream via Twitch or Niamos’ Facebook page at 8pm on Wednesday.
