Storymakers Online: A Kidnapped Santa Claus at Octagon Theatre, Bolton 18 — 19 December 2020 Tickets from £5 — Book now

Storytelling with a difference! The Octagon theatre present a brand-new adaptation of the Christmas classic – A Kidnapped Santa Claus which you can watch from home.

The original A Kidnapped Santa Claus was written in 1904 by the American writer Frank L. Baum (best-known for The Wizard of Oz). And since then, it has inspired many iterations including The Nightmare Before Christmas; Can Mrs. Claus Save Christmas; and Santa Claus is Missing!

This new version brings the characters to life for a 21st-century audience, and you can expect engaging voices, music, and opportunities for fun family interaction.

Of their Storymaker series the theatre say, “It’s storytelling with a difference for children and the grownups who look after them”.

Celebrate the mythology of Christmas and revel in the excitement of your little ones as they get animated and cheer as Santa journeys across The North Pole attempting to escape his band of protagonists.

Who will come to the rescue? The kidnapping of Santa must be stopped! Time is running out, and he has an extremely important job to do.

Buttery mince pies await. There are chimneys to scale, toys to deliver, and come the 25th, smiles to put on teeny faces.

We think this modern festive online reading is guaranteed to keep your family entertained.

Ho ho ho!
