This year Ladyfest hosts a specially created event for Wonder Women, exploring themes on visibility, body politics and identity.
This one-day event aims to improve your music chops with workshops on production and marketing, plus an interactive lab from pioneers developing access for disabled musicians and promoters.
There’s a chance to hear Caro C – co-founder of Delia Derbyshire Day – deliver her talk ‘Visibility is Key’, on women in tech and electronic music. The musical programme rounds off with a panel discussion from key female figures in the music industry.
Wrapping up the day is the local body positive campaign ‘Free to be OK with Me’ – with workshops to encourage acceptance of our own bodies whatever their shape and with activist art shining a light on key body image issues.
