Paul Simon at Manchester Arena
Chris HorkanAt the age of 76, legendary singer/songwriter Paul Simon has decided to tour no more – with Manchester Arena just one of three UK dates on this ‘Homeward Bound’ farewell tour.
As Simon & Garfunkel, he and Art Garfunkel released five acclaimed studio albums between 1964 and 1970, before both artists went solo – with Simon adding a further 13 long-players to his body of work. He picked up 16 Grammy Awards during this long career, including a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003, having sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
Having now decided to bring his performing career to what he calls ‘a natural end’, this concert marks one final chance to hear Simon playing the likes of 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover and You Can Call Me Al.
