Keen artist or just looking for a fun night out with a bit of a twist? PopUp painting welcomes all.

Their booze friendly approach to creativity sees bars around the UK being taken over with arts materials, and in this featured event at Brasserie Blanc, you will get to grips with the warm and vibrant aesthetic of Gordon Bruce’s Paris Winter Walk.

You will be creating a stencil free version of the work, using different painting techniques and a vibrant colour palette. All the materials are provided and you’ll be walked through the process step by step with expert artists on hand to nudge you in the right direction or help out if you get stuck.

Pop-Up Painting was started as a reaction to the American trend of Sip N’ Paint, originating in London. They’ve since expanded rapidly, helping people unleash their creativity with a paintbrush in one hand and a wine glass in the other all over the country. In PopUp events, local artists help people master basic painting skills, with easy to use acrylic paint. Each event is centred around an artist or particular style of painting so you can expect to learn something while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.

PopUp holds events several times a month across other great drinking spots in lots of Northern Cities. Each event is hands-on and immersive with tailored playlists chosen to match the kind of energy required in the painting process, as well as relating to the relevant era or the tastes of the artist in focus.

If you have always wanted to have a go at painting but never had an outlet for your artistic inclinations, or if you just want to add a more cultural twist to time spent drinking with friends, PopUp painting is the one. Check the website for more details of future events.
