The Bluecoat‘s after school art club Out of the Blue collaborated with artists Paddy Gould and Roxy Topia to create the exhibition Let Your Ideas Come Back As Children. The show explores work and workplaces taking into account technological advancements to consider what work may look like in the future. By the time the children attending the club are old enough to work, many of today’s occupations may be obsolete and new ones could take their place. The show highlights human creativity as a unique, irreplaceable skill and one that will continue to be the foundation of many future jobs.

The exhibition includes many interactive elements, that visitors are invited to touch, including soft sculpture and areas designed for younger visitors to perform in. Let Your Ideas Come Back As Children is sure to provoke fascinating conversations between children and adults, thinking about the role of technology in their future.
