Be transported to 1930s Paris, where romance, decadence and glamour await. Magda is the mistress of a wealthy banker but is willing to risk it all when she falls in love with young Ruggero. Meanwhile, her maid seeks happiness with a charming poet. But will there be a fairytale ending to their story?

James Hurley‘s new production captures all the warmth of a musical, as Puccini’s sweeping score, including ‘Chi il bel sogno di Doretta‘, weaves a captivating soundtrack. Join Opera North this November for La Rondine, a whirlwind of passion and scandal.
