A hilarious and touching musical comedy about family, love, and friendship, Mrs Doubtfire, based on the much-loved 1993 film featuring Robin Williams, is live on stage at Manchester Opera House this year, with performances running from Friday 2 September to Saturday 1 October 2022.

Debuting in Broadway in New York with stunning reviews and record ticket sales, Mrs Doubtfire live-on-stage is based around actor Daniel, who finds himself out of work, out of home, getting a bitter divorce and losing custody of his kids. Daniel’s kids mean everything to him, and so he can spend more time with them, he comes up with a crazy, elaborate plan. With his brother’s help, he creates a new alter ego, ‘Mrs Doubtfire’, an older Scottish woman, and with his new-found body, face, clothes and voice, he convinces his ex-wife, Miranda, to hire him as his own children’s nanny.

The sincere, loving, kind and warm Mrs. Doubtfire soon wins the hearts of the children and Miranda, and teaches Daniel a few lessons in parenting too. But will Mrs Doubtfire be able to stay in their lives like this forever? What might happen to Mrs Doubtfire and to Daniel when the secret is exposed?

A heartfelt, warming story about holding the ones you love close, this is a story that is guaranteed to make you laugh out loud and shed a few tears too. Book your tickets for Mrs Doubtfire at Manchester Opera House through the link below.
