Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea at the Mansion House

Creative Tourist

Mother's Day Afternoon Tea at The Mansion House Calderstones Park, Liverpool 19 March 2023 Tickets from £15.00 — Book now

You’re invited to take your seat for an enchanting afternoon tea with a difference at the Mansion House in Calderstone’s Park this Mother’s Day.

Pick a sitting (noon until 2pm, or 3-5pm) and enjoy a glass of fizz on arrival (non-alcoholic option available) followed by a special selection of sandwiches and cakes from the award-winning Cuthbert’s Bakehouse (vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available). Victoria Sharpe will be taking musical requests and, as home to The Reader organisation, there will also be a poem recital – plus every mum, or mother figure, is gifted a hand-picked poetry anthology to take home.

The Reader understand that, for many, Mother’s Day can be a difficult time, and their free Ways To Nurture And Be Nurtured Shared Reading workshop aims to offer an alternative for anyone who might be finding the thought of Mother’s Day difficult; see The Reader website for details of how to take part.

And if you can’t make it out to south Liverpool, head to the brand-new The Reader Bar & Restaurant in town; perfectly placed to catch the last day of the Turner Prize at Tate or for a trip to the Anglican to take in the Coalescence installation by artist Paul Cocksedge (and coffee and cake in the lovely cathedral cafe).
