Marikiscrycrycry – Goner at The Lowry
Creative TouristCreated by performer and choreographer Malik Nashad Sharpe (aka Marikiscrycrycry), Goner is a unique live performance blending dance, horror and social exploration.
Exploring the sensibilities of horror from a marginalised perspective, Goner challenges an audience to question their understanding of alienation, violence and what consitutes a ‘monster’.
Using psychological, suspense-filled imagery, the performance dives into the depths of the Goner’s horror to explore Caribbean migration, alienation, belonging, addiction, and violence.
