LGBTQIA+ guided tour at the People’s History Museum
Carmel Smickersgill, Tours & Activities EditorAcross the galleries at the People’s History Museum, LGBTQIA+ activists, visionists and change bringers are championed. Whether their cause is directly linked to their identity or they just happen to be a queer person fighting unrelated injustice, there’s a good mix of infamous names and unsung heroes amongst the museum’s collection. Join them for a lunchtime tour of these stories, legacies and legends.
You’ll learn about and experience the breadth of craftivism through banners, badges and t-shirts. Everyday items, made by hand, using everyday materials that have gone on to influence social policy, public opinion and positively impact the lives of many people.
The tour is suited for 16 years and older (accompanied) and over 18s. BSL interpretation is also available upon request. Spaces are limited so be sure to book in advance to avoid missing out.
