Explore the spring countryside that the National Coal Mining Museum for England sits amongst. Join a knowledgable guide of the area, for a two hour circular heritage walk down local roads and country lanes. You’ll learn about the Lister Kaye family and how they took a huge gamble on a new mineral line to take the coal to market. It was a feat of engineering, navigating the coal over steep inclines and slopes, and has left it’s traces on the landscape today.
The walk starts at the national Coal mining museum and although fairly gentle, does involve some inclines.
