Get to know Leeds’ charm in the most indulgent way, through your belly. Visit some of the best independent pubs, restaurants and street food stalls with the help of a knowledgeable guide to give you some context behind the people and places that create Leeds’ specifically urban yet Yorkshire cuisine.

In this walking tour you’ll make six delicious stops with a bite to eat at each one. You can be sure the varied menu will be seasonally influenced and never will two tours taste the same. It’s a perfect way to get beyond the surface level of Leeds’ food culture and discover a few hidden gems whether you’re just visiting or have lived in the city for decades.

There is plenty of food included at every stop, and you’ll also learn the stories behind each venue as well as foodie facts and some of the history of Leeds.

Tours run most Saturdays, starting at 11.45am and taking approximately 4 hours. You can expect a visit to one of the oldest pubs in Leeds, a stop in the market, innovative sustainable cuisine and much more. Dietary requirements are catered for upon request.

Discover Lotherton, a country estate, historic hall and Wildlife World zoo. Our Edwardian estate is truly a great place for a family day out, with plenty to keep children and grown ups entertained! The expansive grounds and gardens are lovely walking spots, with or without four-legged companions. Each season brings new surprises including wild garlic in the spring, a sea of colourful blooms in summer in the formal gardens and stunning autumnal colours later on in the year. We have two playgrounds which means there's plenty of space for running about and letting off steam, with zip wires for older children to enjoy. Our evolving zoo, Wildlife World, is a real highlight of any visit and we'd highly recommend popping by to see the Humboldt penguins splash and swim in their pool. Other colourful characters include Arthur the tapir, our resident porcupines and a flamboyance of pink flamingos.
