Interactive and provocative, Feel Me is a new show from The Paper Birds where the audience are actively encouraged to use their mobile phone throughout.

Exploring empathy and connection, this tech-savvy production presents a series of stories live on stage and then asks who and what you care about via your mobile phone.

Always leading with a social and political agenda, The Paper Birds are expert theatre makers. A devising theatre company and UK leaders in verbatim performance, the company pride themselves on being able to take complex, multi-faceted subjects and make them super accessible for audiences.

Recommended for ages 13+, Feel Me is an intelligent and unique multimedia performance that fuses live storytelling, film, projection, dance and music with audience interaction. Appealing to real-world impact and action, this dynamic production asks the audience to become active participants within the show.

As words unfold from backpacks and tents are constructed and dismantled, each transient scene demands an interrogation of empathy. Audiences are gently and anonymously asked to share their feelings about the stories they witness; their reactions are measured using innovative software, which they can access during ‘check-in’ moments throughout the show, and the results are shared as part of the live performance.

Inventive, well-crafted and a fascinating performative experiment. If you’re looking for something a little different from the usual theatre experience – go see The Paper Birds’ Feel Me at HOME.
