Erin Brockovich + Introduction at HOME
Tom Grieve, Cinema EditorMost of the plaudits for Steven Soderbergh’s legal drama, Erin Brockovich, justifiably went to Julia Roberts for her gutsy performance in the title role of a working class woman who takes on the Pacific Gas and Electric Company. However, Albert Finney’s barnstorming performance as the lawyer Ed Masry, who gives Erin vital support, is central to the success of the film and once again saw him nominated for an Academy Award, this time as Best Supporting Actor.
This screening will be introduced by Sarah Perks, Artistic Director of Visual Art here at HOME.
